Walks, Country Walks and Treks around Cambridgeshire
Cambridgeshire Walks
Walking is a popular past time in Cambridge. Even for people who are not generally fans of walking or who have not come on a walking holiday a trek around the city of Cambridge is well worth the effort. This walk will allow you to see all the various tourist attractions and historical monuments that the city has to offer with the added bonus that the walk can be cut short any time to take part in other activities or get a drink and a bite to eat in one of the city's numerous bars and restaurants. These walks around the city can be guided or you can get yourself a map and do them at your own pace.
The second type of walk available in Cambridgeshire are the more traditional rural walks which will allow you to see much of the beautiful scenery and some of the quaint historic market towns in the region. Why not explore the Icknield way which claims to be Britain's oldest road. It begins at Ivinghoe Beacon and ends at Knettishall Heath. This road is very long however and most people only walk along certain sections of it.
